Kanehachi in Kin Town is an izakaya (Japanese pub) that reopened in November 2024 under a fresh new look. The new owner, Itsuko Ajitomi, is a beloved local figure, and the restaurant's concept is to create "a gathering place for adults." The dining space features counter seating, horigotatsu (sunken floor) seating, tables, and semi-private rooms. Guests can enjoy dishes that utilize local ingredients from Kin, such as their popular gyoza (dumplings) made with Kin's specialty products and tofu champuru (tofu stir-fry). The izakaya also boasts a wide selection of local sake (rice wine).
