Kokusai Street

Kokusai-dori is Okinawa's most vibrant main street, running for about 1.6 km through the heart of Naha. Often called the "Miracle Mile," the street is lined with everything from restaurants serving Okinawan soba and steak to souvenir shops selling beni imo tarts and chinsuko, as well as craft stores with Ryukyu glass and Shisa figurines. Every Sunday, the street becomes a pedestrian paradise where you can enjoy traditional Okinawan "Eisa" dance performances and street live shows. Just one step off Kokusai-dori, you'll find local markets and shopping arcades, allowing you to experience the true energy and culture of Okinawa firsthand.
