Makishi Shitamachi Yatai Village

Makishi Shitamachi Yatai Village is a new food stall village that held its grand opening in May 2024, located in Makishi 3-chome, Naha City. Situated close to Heiwa Dori, the central shopping street of Kokusai Street, it is tucked away down a narrow alley, marked by the yellow sign of "Hanagasa Shokudo." It features 17 diverse dining establishments, allowing visitors to enjoy a wide range of genres, including yakitori, sushi, Okinawan cuisine, Korean food, and bistros. Students from the Okinawa Prefectural University of Arts and the University of the Ryukyus participated in the design and operation, contributing to local revitalization and sustainable urban development. Operating from 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM, it's a popular, hidden gem bustling with both locals and tourists.
