Ryukyu Mura

Detailed Information
Ryukyu Mura is a theme park that realistically recreates the life and scenery of the Ryukyu Kingdom era. Old private houses with red tiled roofs, relocated from various parts of Okinawa, stand on a vast site, allowing visitors to experience traditional Ryukyuan culture with all five senses, from the sound of the sanshin to the traditional Eisa dance. In addition to experiencing various traditional crafts like Shisa painting, dressing in Ryukyu costumes, pottery, and Ryukyu glass-making, you can also tour the inside of old houses and watch how sugar is made using water buffalo, allowing you to deeply feel the history and daily life of Okinawa. Furthermore, with restaurants serving local Okinawan cuisine and souvenir shops, it's a great spot for families and groups to enjoy themselves while gaining a deeper understanding of Okinawan culture.
